I have no idea what week shes in, but there are a few things you need to fix.

First, cover up the res so light cannot reach the water.

Light+Water=BAD (mold and other bad things)

Also, make sure your lights are as close to the plant as possible, this will keep it from stretching like it is.

If you're using CFLs, how many?

What nutrients are you using?

Allowing LIGHT into the tank brings algae, then later, root rot and stunted growth.

And, I agre, you got some STRETCHING going on from the lights not being ample or close enough.

System looks GREAT tho, very ingenius.

alright so i got 2 cfl's hope i can get some cash n get hps. and they are closer now and about the root rot.... like duct tape around the res kinda thin

Update: Closer Lights. No light in res. 2 40 watt cfl flo's.

One More Question, If i was not able to afford hps or whatever would it be ok to use 2 40 watt cfl's really close to the plant maybe longer periods of light aswell??

YES, get more CFLS, and if they are less than 105 watt, put them two inches near the plants.

Exactly.

As for the miracle grow, I've seen a few grows with them, they looked pretty decent, but I still think some actual hydro nutes will do way better. You can pick some up online for less than 40 bucks.
