Your top leafs are curled cuz of ph problem, looks too high to me, and under 80 degrees for sure, I like 18/6 for my veg. and it will help the heat problem, you have a fan in there? What nuts are you using?
well i read everyone else and i never put my plants under 24 hours of light they need a lil bit of darkness to photosinthasize my plants r under 7 500k 27w bulbs and look great. mine r only about 5 weeks but they r massive but my closet gets really hot with all the light. but a good temp to stay around is 85. here is somthing for everyone this is a guide to stop plant abuse check it out its pretty helpfull in directing u in care for ur plants.

There looking good, you ever think of Hydro? Or are you a dirt only kind of guy?
I've thought of Hydro before, but since this is only my second grow..I thought I would stick to the basics.

Plus I think I realized where I went wrong last time (Miricle Grow soil, and overwatering/overnuting). I feel like my grow should be much better since I can learn from my mistakes. :weed:

hey mate , you said your soil ph is about 8 , ,,, How come no ones picked up on this ,,,, You should get yourself some PH up and some PH down from your local hydro shop and adjust acordinliy . you want to be aiming for 6.5 if your growing in soil .

why dont you get some molasses and just feed your plants that until your ready to start giving your plants the bio bloom ,
All i use as a nutes are molasses and bio bizz bloom and i give them 2 feeds of a high nitrogen feed before i put my plants into flower ...

So I updated the lighting today and thought I'd post some updated pictures. I know I just updated yesterday, but I can't help it! There growing so fast and looking so good!:hello:

Lighting upgrade:

(10) 23W - 1,600 lumens bulbs (2800K)
(4) 42W - 2,800 lumens bulb

Total
400W
27,200 lumens

Hopefully this addition of lighting should help me get through the remainder of my grow.

imagine if you had 4 75w hps lights man. they throw out way more lumens per watt. i mean you could have 5 and be using less wattage than what you got now and be at least doubling (id hafto look it up to be sure) your lumens. cfls get 60-80 lumens per watt, while hps can put out 110 per w.

your putting out 27000 with cfls and you could be doin 44000 with the same amout of power... do some reasearch and think of what you could do

keep on growin and good luck

I would do that but I would be worried about the heat put out with the HPS lights. Do CFLs or HPS light put out more heat?

hps puts out more heat for sure.
Thats why I'm sticking with CFLs for the time being...Its close to 80F as it is now..with the door to the closet wide open. I, as well as everyone else, know I can't leave that open during flowering. I'll have to shut it, and that will prob. force the temps to get around 84-86F.

I'm not sure what to do?

i hear that man. but judging by the size og your room you should be able to replace say 3 of your cfls for 1 75w hps. (i want to do it to my little set up but im too broke) i know someone with a 75 w hps and 2 65w cfls in a small 3x3x3 enclosure and as long as you have fresh air exchange you should be alright. but if you cant let any of that stanky heat out i dont know what you could do.(maybe charcoal filters?)

if its in your budget i say hook it up and your inner pothead with figure some way to keep it cool in there ....good luck

I've been keeping the door open during the day to keep the room cool, but once flowering starts I'm not sure what I'll do? The smell will be outrageous..esp. if I don't get a carbon filter. I'm planning on buying one in the next few weeks though..

Day 2 of flowering update!

So I have changed around the lighting schedule a bit, leaving the lights ON from 8PM-7AM , and lights of from 8AM till 7PM. This way, I can shut/lock door during the day, and not have to worry about maintenance snooping around in my apt. If they do, the door will be locked and I will have peace of mind. Then when I get home from work, pop the door open, and let the air start circulating through there. This method has been working very well for me the past couple days, keep the temp around 76-78 during the day (with door closed/lights off) and at night right below 80 (with lights on and door open).

Here are some pictures since I know you guys love them. These were taking last night (or early this morning if you want to be technical..). Enjoy!

Figured I'd let you guys see what they look like during flowering. I walked in the room and took some pictures with my camera, with flash on of course.

Hopefully that dosen't mess them up TOO much!:leaf:
