How well do plants stand in rockwool and hydroton.

If I germinate seeds in rockwool surrounded by hydroton in a 3" net pot, will the plant be strong and sturdy enough to withstand LST training and scrog?

I dont want to supercrop I just want to LST train it and then apply a scrog screen to it.

I can show you my pic (several actually) of my 46 inch tall plant that yielded 7 ounces of dried manicured buds in a 3 inch cup, in rockwool, in hydroton. The cube just disappeared, the base of the truck on the plant is 2 inches thick. Had roots like a commercial sized mop.

Yes, it will hold up.

After the seed has sprouted if I wait for the plant to grow about 6 inches tall will it be sturdy enough for me to start LST training, or would I have to wait until the plant is like 12" tall?

As the base of the plant grows does the rockwool just rip apart into peices?

You can start training at any height, but if its short, you need to be careful and be gentle. I suggest you place the lights to the sides now, instead of directly over the plant, and it will grow sideways more, and taller, less.

The rockwool cube just disintergrates, and disappears as the base gets wider than one inch in diameter.
