How to wire a socket to a cord

Could anybody tell how to wire a keyless lampholder to a cord that can be plugged into an elctrical outlet

I have heard you can wire them to extension cords

Lol, then i dont know, im in the uk, we have different wiring / voltage ect, sorry

if you look the the plug and it has 2 or 3 prongs... the prong with is the wider of the 2 is you positive...i hope this helps

Are there any wires on the back of your lampholder? Should be at least 2, if not 3.

there are three wireson the back of my lampholder

Black to black white to white and green to ground. I assume they are black,white and green on your socket if not let us know.
