How To Use Dehumidifier When Growing in A Tent?

Ladies and Gents,

I am working with 8 plants in a 4x4, healthy and doing well.

I am in Souther California and heat is on the rise so I have a Portable AC unit in the sealed room where the 4x4 is located and it brings temps down to a steady 76 degrees F' with 630 LEC light fixtures on and down to 64 at night time.

I have no control over humidity though...

If I buy a professional dehumidifier does it need to be placed inside the tent ? Or will just drying out the entire room where the tent is located the way to do it?

Anyone done this and had success lowering humidity into the 40's in this manner?

keep it under 50% with a home depot unit placed in the room that the tent is in for best results.
it will add some heat to the whole space though. hopefully your portable will be able to manage the additional heat.
