bare with me kuz my typing sucks ass, photos and shit are down there if you wanna look ..... i think there is a benefit for doing this............ here it goes , after 15 to 20 days or longer of growing in one container you get to put your auto flower in fresh dirt with out hurting the roots any at all from transplanting and you also get to go way longer with out really needing to feed your plants and you get fresh start after 20 days or longer of growing, can go longer then 20 days if you wanted before putting the other container in the 5 gallon pot, but I don't recommend it,some of the ideal is to grow the plant in one container as long as you can with out roots getting root bound before placing it in final 5 gal pot , I came up with this ideal over a year ago and who knows some 1 else may be doing , but any way I was not growing auto flowers at the time when i came up with this ideal, i was reading allot about them, but my friend was growing them and i passed along the ideal to him and he has been getting good results doing it and told me he likes it way better then starting out in a party cup in his 5 gal smart pot... im not saying this is the best thing for you or the best way for growing auto flowers but works for me and him and he has been using the ideal longer then me and growing for around 13 years and said its better then the other way, I also think it can eliminate some problems down the line if your a new grower like me, I have been growing bag seeds out side for years but thats way different then inside with seeds you payed out the ass for.. ..... STEP ( 1 ) CUT A 2 LITER BOTTLE AT THE TOP AND VERY BOTTOM STEP( 2 ) TAKE A 32 OZ BOTTLE OF GATORADE, MAKE A STRAIGHT CUT 2 INCHES FROM THE BOTTOM ALL THE WAY AROUND KEEP THE BOTTOM PIECE YOU CUT OFF AND SHOVE THE UPPER PART OF THE GATOR AID BOTTLE BACK INSIDE OF THE BOTTOM OF THE GATORADE BOTTLE AND TAPE IT BACK I USE THAT ALUMINUM TAPE,THIS IS SO WHEN YOU GO TO PUT IT IN THE FINAL POT YOU CAN JUST REMOVE BOTTOM TO PLACE IT IN 5 GAL POT WITH OUT CUTTING IT OFF AND FUCKING YOUR PLANT UP, MAKE SURE TOP PART IS INSIDE OF THE BOTTOM WHEN YOU TAPE IT OR WHEN YOU WATER IT WILL LEEK BAD, ALSO CUT THE TOP OFF THE GATOR RAID BOTTLE TO... STEP ( 3 )SHOVE 2 LETTER BOTTLE INSIDE THE TOP OF GATORADE BOTTLE MAKE SURE 2 LETTER IS INSIDE THE GATOR RAID BOTTLE THEN TAPE IT ON THEN TAPE ALL AROUND EVERY THING TO KEEP LIGHT OUT AGAIN I USE ALUMINUM TAPE IF YOU THINK YOUR LIGHT WILL MAKE ROOT ZONE TO HOT THEN DONT USE THAT KIND OF TAPE YOU CAN USE WHAT YOU WANT BUT ME ON THE OTHER HAND NEED A WARMER ROOT ZONE, ALSO POKE HOLES IN BOTTOM OF CONTAINER ITS EASIER TO POKE HOLES BEFORE YOU TAPE IT BACK ON .. STEP( 4 )FILL IT WITH SOIL 3 OR 4 INCHES PAST THE INDENT IN THE CONTAINER YOU MADE YOU SHOULD HAVE A INDENT MAKES CONTAINER HOLD IN SOIL BETTER WHEN YOU GOT TO PLACE IT IN FINAL 5 GAL POT I USE FOX FARM OCEAN FORREST , NEXT FILL THE REST WITH A SEED STARTER I LIKE TO USE THE LIGHT WARRIOR FROM FOX FARM AND I ALSO MIX A LITTLE LIGHT WARRIOR IN THE TOP LAYER OF FOX FARM OCEAN FORREST 2 OR 3 INCHES DOWN ....NEXT PLANT YOUR GERMINATED SEED AFTER SHE HAS BEEN GROWING FOR 20 DAYS UN TAPE THE BOTTOM OF YOUR CONTAINER REMOVE BOTTOM OF YOUR CONTAINER AND PLACE IT IN 5 GAL POT A LITTLE PAST THE INDENT,YOU GOT TO DO THIS BEFORE ROOTS COME ROOT BOUND ANY AT ALL., WATER IN BOTH POTS NOW...... AND THE REST IS UP TO YOU ... If you like it you like it if not then you dont it work's for me and my buddy if you want to do it to then you can if not thats ok 2

I can't take credit.. I seen it somewhere b4...and I sucked at try'n to get them outa a single container!!
I only use the 2 L bottle taped to the gator raid bottle kuz I can grow in it for 2 or 3 weeks then stick it in the 5 gal pot in fresh dirt and dont got worry about salt build up and all that shit for a while kinda a head start there is other reasons to, Im still new at the indoor thing and using nutes, when i was growing out doors all i had to do was water and wait, did not matter if i lost a cople plants there was plenty moor then my friend showed me his grow and the smell got to me and now i like growing indoors with good seeds

I transplanted 3 yesterday from solo cups to 5 and 7G root pouches without issue. Roots were just starting to circle the bottom, everything held together. They were 22 days from sprout and grown outside. They didn't pout, just kept reaching for the sun.

I don't know I just sprout them in a root riot and straight to the pot.Flush is easy grab your shop vac and suck the run off water as you flush. easy peezy and no mess.

I don't even do that. We grow a lot of flowers and I start my vegetables indoors in solo cups or what ever I got on hand.

Just let your plant get on the dry side. Hold hand over top of cup with plant between middle and ring finger, flip upside down and it falls out. Replant and your done.

You can also use those paper planting cups and tear the bottom out.

I might try your way. I put dirt netting the green kind like what you find under grass in my styrophome cup hoping i could just cut the styrofoam cup away. When i transplanted yesterday the netting didnt hold the soil as well as i liked after i sliced the cup away , got my patio all dirty. Was also thinking of using a small burlap bag and just cutting some holes and putting the whole thing in my fabric pots but i havnt tried that yet

Yep.

First year growing autos, but I've done four this way with no problems and it's way less trouble than methods described above. When filling what will be the final grow pot with soil, place a pot/cup of the same size the seedling is in at the level you'd like to put the seedling. Fill soil firmly around this, then pull the empty container, leaving a void in the soil. Gently slip the now pot-less seedling into the hole you created, water and you're done.

I only do it the wAy I explained kuz 1 I don't got a huge space and I find no mater what I get a little less smoke every time if i transplant 2 I don't got to feed them for a while 3 I don't get salt build up as bad4 I hate flushing 5 my plants get fatter buds for some reason 6 they are stronger and just seam to grow better. The other ways I ran in to problems 1 after another now shit is growing smooth no problems
