How to Tell the Difference Between Male and Female

Can anybody answer that^^^? i bought a seed of somebody but they already germinated it and planted it, however it hasnt sprouted yet. im a little worried because i dont even know if theres a seed in there. also he says it "germinated quicker than the others" so it must be female. is it true? what are some quick ways to figure out if its male/female? help! thanks in advance
 
i payed 5 bucks. for a pot of soil and hopefully a seed inside. but hes a long time friend and i know woth both of the peeople live so it should and better be a female sprouting pretty damn soon. about how long after its germinated and planted should it sprout??
 
Seeds should pop up a day or 2 after germination, you cant tell sex by how fast a seed germinates, no offense but if your friend said that he doesnt know a lot about growing. You will be able to tell if it a male or female probably no earlier than a month once its sprouted.
 
unless you buy feminized seed their is no way to know yet. the only way to tell is to either force flowering(which i wouldnt do) or waiting till it shows preflowers and then confirming the sex when you switch to 12/12. 5 bucks for a random seed ? your crazy man. lol, your *buddy* either doesnt have a clue what he's talking about or he ripped you off.
 
You're gonna have to wait til the plant tells you what sex it is. Balls=Male, White hairs=Females. You got at least a month to go.
