I am on the same page as pipe dream here, believe environment is a bigger factor than many believe. I am going to get the seed bank out after the kids go to bed and see fem vs. not dimple thing.

I think if there were any ability to tell male from female cannabis seeds that it would have been figured out and have been very common knowledge by now.

When my stoned ass remembered this thread i went and got out the "seed bank", of 11 Fem seeds, 9 had the perfect circle, 2 did not. Didn't look through the reg seeds too much, but most i did look at seemed to have the circle, about 7-8 out of 10, looked at probably 30 reg seeds, so really seems like most have the circle. I don't believe it, as jdizzle said, this would be widely published for years most likely if it were true, but if you are growing a plant you are most likely a head, so you really never know.

There would also have been less of a need to develop feminized seeds because people could claim they simply picked the females out and everyone would be pissed about anyone selling male and female seeds together because they would only ever want males for breeding (and no one sells male seeds do they?).

So if there are methods to make sure seeds will generate females, can you do the same for males?

i did read that a while back n tried to pick ten seeds looking for the crater and 9 out of 10 turned out to be females. i guess i could of tossed a football in there to see but didnt log it in my log to remember lol

Whats wrong with buying femmed seeds. Then you know you'll have all females, right?
Well depending on the technique and the quality of the genetics used you may have a higher risk of herms with some feminized seeds than with seeds that aren't feminized (depends on the breeder/website you get them from). But yeah I certainly will be always buying feminized seeds.

a feminized seed cannot turn male. it can become a hermafrodite, but not a complete male.
feminized seeds all are either female or shemales from Genes. BUT you can stress a female plant to become a hermie.
simple
