I looked all over contact details, privacy, preferences etc and I only found one check box to denote email messages in the contact details section. The box is not checked...so, why am I still getting emails??
How to stop e-mails??

in Preferences there is a "and automatically receive emails " button, unclick that.
This is assuming you mean emails in relation to Replied threads, you didnt specify what the emails were we also have emails that get sent out for private messages as well
Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...
