How to set up wiring for 250watt hps

Right so I will be using a 250watt hps and a few small CFL's.
The ballast cable is not long enough to reach to the mains and I don't know how to set up the timer/contactor or where to plug it.

I will use a 20m heavy duty extension lead which will accommodate the ballast and cfl plugs.

Someone must know how to wire this up SAFELY. I need to be able to turn on and off the 250 watt hps and the cfls with one timer.

ALSO/ I will be using a separate extension and timer for the carbon filter and fans but once again dont know to arrange the sockets/timer.

You're going to attach the cfls and ballast tothe same lead and plug that intoa timer? I wouldn't record mmend that. Buy a timer with two grounded receptacles.

Yeah it`s called a bar extension lead man who don`t know what they are ?

Oh wait is this in the usa or something ? 110v is gay !

Another thread? The more you make the less likely people are going to help you. Sheesh.Its a 250w hps. Just plug it into the wall already.

lol true, a 250 will work fine with a standard 3kw house hold timer £3 from wilko

It blows my mind when someone who has been registered on the site for 3 years and is asking such questions. I think they are way out of their league and should forget about growing.
