Although misting can be beneficial to your plant, because it helps them from drying out there are a few things to keep in mind.

1. You should always mist lightly, I recommend a spray bottle.

2. Mist/spray your plants right before you turn off your lights, otherwise the water can start to boil as it evaporates and seriously damage your leaves,

3. If you get any small amount of water on an HID it will explode so think about quickly misting your babies right outside of your grow room before the lights go out

4. You should only foliar feed when regular feeding would start. Do one or the other, not both; nute burn sucks. Foliar feeding is also a great way to rescue plants suffering from soil nutrient lock-out

Peace!

i think the misting helps light absorbtion too, or is that wat u were saying alx?, i'd say mist them when they look like they need it, when they look like they need a burst of light, think of a crying baby: do you run too it attend to it or do you wait till it stops crying to pay any attention to it. Lucky me i don't like children and I'm gona stick to ganja "Ganja Don't Cry" is gonna be my legalize it phrase

don't spray em if your temps are high enough to make the evaporation go too quick.. that, and watch out for leftover residue -- similar to the water spots on glasses dried in the dishwasher... my girls once almost died because that happened to em.. but then I electroshocked them back to health...
