Couple of grams will give you couple of years in jail at my place, without a bail. Don't throw it in the cops and there is no reason to shoot you. Or don't do drugs at all. It is your fu*(kin choise.
How long do you get for destroying evidence? It looks like it takes a minute to burn up. If it doesn't destroy all your "evidence" then you could get screwed 2 ways! Very clever idea, but I definitely have some concerns.
What evidence? The idea is to leave nothing but paper ashes behind. What you see burning is a paper body, what ever was inside is flushed away by superheat stream, witch takes 1-2 seconds to vaporize whatever was there, metal or glass. It can be set to start as fast as 2 seconds, i preffer longer timing to stay safe.

If the cop sees you doing this, they are going to assume (and probably rightly so) that you are destroying evidence. Where I'm from, there doesn't have to be any 'evidence' to charge someone with destruction of evidence. That's the whole point! You destroyed it! Your best bet would be to no act suspicious, not smoke in public, try not to carry stuff on you when not necessary, stay clean cut and don't look like a hippy or a stoner. Be polite to the cops (you can cuss them and hate them in your head all you want). Live by these simple rules and you won't need a device like this one. I've been toking for well over 20 years and never needed one of those things.
The device gives you chances and options instead of no choises or chanses at all, when you stopped carring something. What choise to make is up to you. Nobody will shoot you for throwing a stick in to the bushes or behind a building, they woun't even see it burn, depends how far you can throw. Depends on a character.

or your other choice is outside of the car... i could see this.. you get pulled over and a cop is walking up and what, you open up the door and throw what appears to be a bomb out at the approaching cop? good luck with that.
i'll take my chances and act normal and like i have nothing to be afraid of at the time.. by the by, i've been pulled over 3x's while smoking in the car at the time and have never been busted.. one time i was even holding the hit when the cop was walking up and had to remind myself to blow it out before he got there...
