I got tired of really negative people messing with my enjoyment of this site. But I found out about a neat feature that's called "ignoring". Once you set someone to ignore, you no longer see any of their posts.
So, if you're tired of buttheads, give this a try.
Click on their username in their post. This is in the left side of their post just to the right of their user icon.
You'll get a drop-down menu that says things like:
View Public Profile
Butthead's Grow room
Send a private message to Butthead
Find all posts by Butthead
Add Butthead to your Buddy List
Select View Public Profile from this drop-down.
In the middle right of your screen you'll see some text that says: Add Butthead to your ignore list. This section is below their last activity statement and above the private message section. Click on the Add Butthead to the ignore list.
You'll be presented with a list of people who you've already ignored. and a small text box that has Butthead's name in it. Just click on Save List and you're set.
You'll get a confirmation screen showing that you've added Butthead to the list along with Assface and Goatfucker.
Now, I'm not sure what I'm going to do long term. I'm considering wiping my list every New Year's Day or every 4/20 or something. I mean, Buttheads do grow up to become full fledged Assfaces but occasionally the dickishness wears off and they might have something interesting to say.
In the meanwhile, all I can say is I am back in love with this site...largely thanks to this feature.
