How to harvest the Pepper?

Well I have grown some Pepper plant in my garden. The peppers have gone red, i think they are matured enough.
but a little confused, it may destroy or mess.
Any assistance please !

lol pull that shit off and give it a twist. might have to hold the plant with the other hand so you dont pull the whole plant down. grab it by the stem and you shouldnt have to worry about smooshing it.

If you're worried about shaking the plant, use a pair of scissors.
