Hey all this is my first season using clones. if anyone could give me some advise on how to harden off clones i would really appreciate it. sorry if there is a thread somewere on here about it as i havent seen one. i am also trying to decide on what size pots i should use will 7 gallon nursery pots work for half punders? thanks again for the help your all awesome.

i start my clones off under 600w mh lights & then bust them out into the sunlight. i started with 7gal pots this grow. moving up in size from 5gal pots & hoping for 1/2 pounders or somthing close to it.. i hear a lot from others to expect 1-2 oz per 5gal pot but 3-4 oz were what i was used to & anything less was a disappointment. i guess if you expect less than thats what you get

I place a milk crate over the top of the clones for a few days. The web design of the milk crate allows sun light in, but shade to follow. I leave it on for a couple of days, then on the 3rd day, take it off in the late afternoon, a little earlier the next day, then by the 5th day, no more crate. Just make sure they have plenty of water when you put them outside.
Hope this helps-

I do the same thing with no ill effects. They go right from under my 600 hps to under the sun.

really ?
mine were under cfl in rockwall and now they've rooted out and i planted them in the pot , tomorrow i can take them outside to enjoy the sun until i'll replant them in the ground?
and what about temperature ? it's a drastic change ..
