How to Grow in the Hood?

So I am a medical patient and I wanna go outdoor this year in my backyard. But the location is less than ideal. My neighborhood is kinda ghetto and I'm worried about gettin jacked. Any ideas on how to prevent this, or is it a bad idea all together.
 
Haha, bad idea...but I'd go with a completely enclosed Chain Link area, like a dog kennel, and lock that shit up!...Then get some security cameras that work at night too, set those up, along with a couple of motion sensing floodlights with green bulbs. If you can get away with it not being too obvious, maybe barbed wire around your fence too. Hang a bunch of bells and shit all over the chain link fence, so if someone trys to cut in it makes a bunch of racket...Oh yeah, and get a couple big ass dogs.
 
ya thats about what i thought. its just lame being allowed to grow alot of weed but not able to.
 
'nicer' is a completely relative term....could be just next to the river or stream down the way
backyard? hahahaha......you best live in a guarded fort once they peep that...

not very discreet. im not gonna do it, but i have a buddy who grow monsters in his backyard and last year he had some colas that were hanging over the neighbors fence, and he pulled it off.

You need a dog, motion sensing lights, and bells on your fence. You should be good. Not many people are going to keep coming in once they make noise, lights come on, and a dog starts barking.
 
then they will notice the house....yep...surely there's more in there...something of value...yep


if you HAVE to grow outside get the heck away from your home....still runs the risk of theft, sure, but if you keep your wits about you no one will ever see your house...
 
im debating on moving mine out in my yard, my neighbour is an auto mechanic so there is alot of traffic going past my house. if u do grow just make sure to tie them down, have nobody go in ur yard, tell no one, and have a garden planted or grow in some kind of bushes or shrubs. u should do fine as long as nobody can go into ur yard, build a fence or something to block the view to ur grow area.
 
just try it out? if they get jacked up or stolen you wont try that shit again.
or just continue growin inside? not an option?
 
Sadly I would skip growing outside of my house too in this situation. If you're in the "hood" odds are some asshole is going to see them and assume that you'll have more inside and you'll end getting robbed. I had a buddy get woken up with an AK47 in his face telling him to give up his shit. I'd rather grow 1 small plant inside at all times than risk the ole AK in your face wake up.
 
In Oakland some people put pots in shopping carts. They roll them outside every morning, rolling back inside every night. That way there is nothing to steal outside at night.
