Well I just harvested and dried 6 ounces from 1 plant in this small closet. Now the plant was only a 3 foot plant. I was thinking of LST the plant around my 4 gallon bucket, you know tie it down and follow the full circle of the bucket. Go around the bucket a few times with the main stem. go around and around and around until i reach a height of 3 feet, that would really be 6 foot plant if standing straight up, right or wrong? I would do that for 4 months then place into veg and veg for 2 months with that sorta of LST.

You can easily get close to a pound now days. It's not THAT hard. 400-600w, 3x3 or smaller grow tent or box covered in mylar, big ass inline fan, SCROG screen, WATERFARM. 1 plant! scottyballs got 15oz off 1 plant in his grows and that was with 1 plant and 400w. It is possible. NOT THAT HARD. Just have to READ.
SOG is a waste of seed if you are only going for yield. 1 plant in SCROG and waterfarm will get you a good pound or close to it.

lol not everyone can do what scottyballs and a few others do with the water farm....and u said a pound not close to a pound...He normally is getting 10-12 oz that 15 was his most..But GOODLUCK..

True but as you said he must have the right strain, 95% of strains just cant do it indoor. Also keep temps 75-80 to get a heavy harvest.

30 plants and 18oz that's only 1.6oz per plant. That's nothing impressive.

Pineapple express IS 1 of the best indoor strains tho. I think he's right one w/ the strain. Buds look like theyre rolled In sugar when ready. ( ;

So you guys are pretty much saying just to grow more than 1 plant then. There is only 1 problem, I am using only a 250w system. I just grew one plant and harvest 151.06g or 5 ounces and 11g DRY,something like that, How many plants can I work with under a 250w system in a 3x3 7 foot height closet, to at least come close to a pound! What would be my veg time if i can only go max height of 3-3 1/2 feet tall MAX after veg and flower? ++++REP

3x3 you should at least be using a 400w. If you want a pound you need to be going with 600w. I use a 400w in a 36"x20"x60" space. I still don't think it's enough light.

the math is all intriguing and may look good on paper but the actual practicality of it all is something different. sure it can be done but with having a mark your trying to reach would be your downfall. space is gonna be the biggest concern, then your methods i/e scrog, top, lst, supercrop, etc. then your lighting. you could use a 1k hps but if you dont have the penetration and placement forget about it. so it can be done, the question would be how its going to get done. JMO

With a 600 you should be at about a pound if you use the space right but with a 250 I don't see that happening. That's 1.8 grams per watt and if you try and light a 3x3 with a 250 alot of the weight you'll get will be fluffy popcorn buds. Those get you high but don't really have the bag appeal.
I find that every time I try and over grow a light or space I end up disappointed with my yeild and quality. If you can control the heat get a 600 and you'll reach your goal with a little dialing in..
