How to get rid of smell completely?

New to indoor growing.

So my 4x4 tent has an inline fan and filter exhausting air out of the tent, while pulling fresh air through 2 passive inlets. The inlets aren't filtered and I'm wondering if that is how the smell is getting out or maybe the filter isn't doing it's job correctly. Filter and 6" fan is from Hydrobay, however they source their products from China so who knows who the real supplier is.

I was thinking of plugging the inlets with activated charcoal filters, has anyone had experience with these or have a better recommendation? thanks

what if i filtered the air twice? once through the tents and once again in separate sealed room?

You should not have to. I use passive intakes for my tent and as long as you have negative pressure (the sides of the tent get sucked in when it's closed) you're ok.

Yea the sides of my tent are sucked in

not sure how accurate that calculator is.. one of the inputs is "number of lights" .. I'm using COB led's though. That's probably not the issue since I also have fan speed controller

I can't smell anything standing next to it, but at the front door of my house i can catch a whiff sometimes which is fuckin weird and making me paranoid

If you're going to grow, you should do it in a place where you're not worried about smell.

Weird. Especially because you can't smell it in the room.
Leaks in the ducting or around the joints?
Maybe a defective scrubber.
