How to get denser nugs

Its my 3 Ed grow. And I just can't get the kind of dense nugs that I see at dispensaries. Using a drip system with 1000 watt lights. I'm giving it all the nutes fr advanced. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong

well, what genetics are you growing?

also, temperature control, humidity, and air circulation

alot of times nugs get compressed while being bagged, trimmed, bagged, transported, bagged, transported, bagged...etc...i dont like too dense....also some growth regulators like gravity are dangerous to health and are now banned.

I'm growing lemon og and banana og. Hum is 45. Temp 74. I got 2 fans for 6 lights. I keep the ph around 6. Does that sound right right to u

let me throw out a possible stupid answer, what strain are you growing? indica has much more compact buds as opposed to thin airy sativa.

i was having the same problem on my 1st 2 grows, on the 3rd grow i ran c02 using the same strain(northern lights) and growing conditions and they were more dense. I 2 more ozs with the c02

The most dominant factors are genetics and light intensity. All I grow is rock-hard bud.

I have a cousin that swears by CO2 for that exact reason...I have no experience but maybe something to look into. Shes done her fair share of amazing crops in her day.

People might say its not as simple as this, and of course its not...but keep your temps low, intensity of light high, and pump potassium the last month

what strain do you grow and what light with how many plants?
I run 600s and 1Ks, 1 LST'd plant per ~1 square foot.

As far as genetics, you're not just looking at a strain, you're looking for the right individual. Let me give an example. I grow Iced Grapefruit as one of my bread and butter products. I started 10 seeds, cloned each plant and waited 'till harvest. I, then, eliminated 6 of the individuals, kept four and grew them out again, taking clones from each one. The run consists of "my plants" - meaning, they're trained and pruned by me to cover a given space, rather than having to rely on nature for 50% of the job. This way I can see a given individual's expression as it relates to my needs. Grow the clones out again, eliminating some in the process and eventually a single individual stands out. Sometimes two, as in the case of Green Poison. It takes, on average, 3 runs to see who's whom.

Here's a link to a thread that shows how the plants are trained:

Your strains are fine.... it's your lights brother.

Please explain what BRAND and ACTUAL WATTAGE or take some pictures.

Trust me, it's your lights. CO2 is the last thing you should add to your grow. Spend the extra cash and get a good 1000w HID & ballast plus some good ventilation and you will be good to go.

I grow lemon og and banana og. With 1000 watt lights. Are these good strains?
They can be great strains, but they also have that og in there that takes a skilled hand to optimilize.
High light intensity, hopefully a vented hood to keep the temp down so you can keep the light I.tensity high, and potassium (which helps a plant to manage heat) should all lead to denser nuggetry

im so glad i discoverd this forum. People are really awesome, taking time out of their busy lives to help out newbs like me. lol
