If you dont have any kind of grow area up and running an airing cupboard works ok...... Dark is better using the "paper towel method"

how long would it take to germinate and my room gets around 10-15 degrees in the night. Would the seeds survive? Also how long should I grow the tap root? I have tried germinating seeds before but all of them failed :S 5 of arjan haze. I guess those seeds were crap though.

I use paper towels and I put the zip lock with the towel and seeds on top of my Cable box. The cable box keeps them warm.

Dude try using a simple glass of clean bottled water. Pop the seed in the glass of water at room temerature in a dark room. It should crack between 24/48 hours.. Then carefully remove the seed and place it root down.in the soil or rockwool with the tip of the seed just barley popping out above the surface.

Then keep it in the dark again for another few days until leaves are showing.. Then pop them underlights in the humidy dome for a week . Then its ready for final transplant!

I agree, once the taproots are showing and you plant it, set your pot on the heating mat. ROOTS love it!!! Nothing like getting multiple uses out of something!
I just put a small reliable heater in my bedroom running all day and night for a few nights keepn the room at 25 degrees and humid. They sprout leaves in two days

Can I put my seeds in a paper towel then leave them in a light proof container under my growlight? Will that work?

I put my seeds in a paper towel and set them on top of the water heater. Warm and dark, just the way they like it. They loved it and sprouted like crazy in a matter of hours! Try it, it worked great for me.
