How to dry bubble hash after wash

Thinking of getting a bubble hash set or wash machine, bit wondered if you need a freeze dryer, or how does it work? On bubble bags (for drying, does it take long? Just leave it out (exposed)?

I don't see another thread so I'll answer question. I've been making bubble for almost 20 years. First off never ever squeeze the hash while in bags to get rid of water. With that said I let the hash sit on top of a 25 micron screen on top of paper towels for an hour in fridge, this lets gravity push water out into paper towels. Then I put hash on a cold metal baking sheet and chop up as fine as possible, don't worry if it doesn't chop real fine because you will chop again later. Then I either let it sit in fridge for few hours and chop again or I put in freezer for few hours then back into fridge and chop again once it's soft. Then I let it sit overnight in freezer. Then let it sit in fridge the next day. After that it should be really fine like sand and ready to be brought into room temperature for final drying for a day or so. Should be good to go after that.

ANYONE have good recommendations for a bubble hash extraction machine/other?
Also, is 5 gallons big enough? I'll be doing about half pound +/- per harvest. Outdoors maybe about 1 pound or a bit more (only once yearly). Not a ton, but need to know what to look at/research. Please help. Thanks!

i have been using one of these with a modified drain hose. running about 500 g per wash with favorable results

I thought it would be nice to give Frenchy his own place to answer and teach when and if he feels up to it. I thought a few pieces of my pressed hash might make his day :) Yes my friend I have been down many many roads :) This is all Ice Hash the only thing used was a 1 gallon bubble bag set...

cant remember where in that thread the pics and description are, but its worth reading through if you are learning to make bubble. in the vid, he shows and talks about it in the first 10-20 minutes or so i think. you just open up the back of the machine, cut off that shitty accordion looking hose that comes preinstalled, and replace it with some 3/4" inner diameter smooth drain hose

After you spoon it out of the bags and press it a little just put it on cardboard to dry. I just switched to dry ice hash, use same bags with dry ice and shake shake into a plastic box and collect. I like it better.

So if I got that machine (and modified hose), I'd need a 220 micron bubble bag for inside? Different micron bubble bags? Anything else?
