You jarred it to early. My post. Number 75. I already stated that. And that’s a big fucking no no. You messed up. Now you know the issue. That’s why the trim smells better than the bud lol

I dry my weed as slow as possible and to about 90% before jarring. I don’t take that grass smell chance. Like wet smell. Kinda different than hay. Gotta let you weed dry before jar stage.

So what about the plant smelling grassy before being jarred? You don't think a lack of fresh air hurt her? The plant and test both smelled of grass in a high rh environment, fan moving, but no fresh air in.

The bathroom trim NEVER smelled green in a low rh environment high replacement of fresh air.

I freaked and thought she was drying too fast. Thought that was the reason for the grassy smell but it wasn't. I believe it to be poor air circulation that started it all. It is the only thing different aside from the rh levels.

Compared to the stuff that just sat in the bathroom at low rh and high volume air replacement.

Ima be honest wit the you man.
I dry my weed in the worst conditions. And never smell like hay or grass.
I prolly dry in 30% 70F. And with outdoor. Worse. Like 80F and 10%. And smells like the strain. Why’s that?

Iv even taken samples from my kushmints at 6.5 weeks And never smelled like anything else but candy the whole time drying.

That's what I'm saying. Everything about the bathroom is suboptimal except the air replacement & the trim did GREAT.

My dry room at 60RH 65F but POOR air replacement gives me grassy shit.

I'd say that is a prime example of poor air circulation and not of genetics.

I'd say you have great air replacement and I believe a lower RH is better than sticking to 60rh in a under ventilated room. Would be just like jarring too early. No?

I don’t know man. I had this problem when I was younger. And genetics got rid of that problem. I can dry my weed in cardboard box. Bathroom. Closet. Tent. As long as it’s not stale and standing air. I’m fine. I got rid of poor genetics eons ago. And stuck with what smells good pretty much no matter what.

Maybe you put to much thought into it bro?
next dry. Use your bathroom maybe. Experiment. Or toss the strain if it happens again. But you said you jarred to early?

I'm thinking so man. It would be the best way for a controlled experiment. I'll try again for sure. Thank you for the talks. I definitely had a mind full.

I jarred after smelling the grass smell from the whole plant hang. It isn't what started the smell.
