30degrees all day long, 11:15pm and still 27

I have 2 600w hps, 6 weeks into flower
Would it hurt to turn one off for the night maybe 2?

8' outtake
6'outtake
5' intake

Room temps 29.8 atm, no leaves curling or showing signs of burning yet but dont want to burn pistols or ruin buds

Mine came on at 8:20pm, off 8:20 am
So they are running at night

The temp in the room today though lights off was 26

Even some leds get pretty hot, not near as bad as hps, but still. Unless you get the real top of the line shit they all get hot. But I prefer them to hps, not nearly as much room being taken up. I literally just had to cut a new vent register into my room with my tent in it. Spent 2 hours in the attic, roofs only 4ft at its highest point, and the room is on the edge of the house. . Ol back was crinked up boys.

Dude i live in deep south, we get the blistering heat and the never ending 100% year around humidity. I've been though many dehumidifiers.

I use a large closet off my living room as a grow area when the plants aren't outside on the deck, bad weather etc, and when the temps are high I just leave the closet door wide open with a large fan blowing inside to move the air around, it typically stays within 10 degrees F and i'm using a 400 watt hps.

Good point. We pay a lot of money for equipment and expect it to work/last forever but it's just equipment and prone to failure.

I had a Solistek magnetic ballast go up in flames. Danger lurks everywhere.
Thats f***ing scary!! I had a Solistek digital ballast short out too, but not like that (and it had already been replaced once under warranty) There stuff is shit!!

But this is the main reason I will only run my lights during the night, when i am home, with inter connected smoke/fire detectors to alert me when and if something bad does happen....plus it's cooler at night.
