How tall?

I've just planted some newly sprouted seeds.

I'll be running them on 24 hours of light until it's time to flower them. But how tall should I let them get before I switch over to 12/12 light

Accounting for a space between the light and the plant to prevent burning I have about 5 feet of vertical height for the plant.


So how tall would be a good time to switch?

Just plan on em doubling or maybe even tripling in size during flowering

just make sure u have the light as close to the plants as you can otherwise the plants will grow tall to reach the light and end up lanky

2x huh? Well I guess I'll give them a good 2 feet or so before I go 12/12. But as of right now they are fresh little sprouts just planted. Thanks for the input.

put it this way,i germinated,planted,vegetated n started to flower mine in 2 weeks,they are now just under 2ft tall and are about ready to harvest,the only risk of flowering them at an early age is risk of stressing the plants,i germinated 6 seeds n 5 of them turned out to be female.
people recommend that u veg seedlings for approx a month,if u want a quicker turnover then start flowering them at 3weeks.

18"-24" should get you where you want to be unless it is a Sativa dominant strain. They tend to grow taller and skinnier.

you need to go 12/12 from 18/6 at about 8/9 inch tall they will grow 2/3 times that height in flowering mode.i vegged untill 9" tall and ended up with a 3.5 foot plant.

jus bagseed,more often than not they all sprout.....wasnt aware that this was good lol,thought it was the norm to be honest,on my 3rd grow now

5 outta 6 females is good for some bagseeds. My first two i tried came out both females though, so hopefully the two i got goin now do the same!
