How quickly do the males have to be removed?

Use it like tooth paste. Or try it out on a controled area. Like a pot with soil and no plant and test the dampness maybe? Just givie it a little trial run. If it works like advertised...then that's epic. Poking holes wouldn't work. It has to come into contact with soil.

dig whole. put in tube verticlly half way in and poke wholes in the tip that is in the dirt.

truth to that. my plants 13" in a gallon pot and ill be gone for like 10 days do i just water it thoroughly and hope it doesnt dry out or do i try my tube o' jell?

i think either way u are going to have to pray

I vote tube o' gel. No plant can stay moist in 70 degree's for 10 days. Gel it is.

i got 3 lights on that bad girl too but i water her every 2 days and shes fine. maybe i'll just try the tube. im just scared because i wont be using it the way the directions call for.

well i checked on my baby girl and she grew an inch and a half over night..... i still cant really tell the sex. shes a bit of a leaner so i might have to tie her. she doesnt seem to stretched by ever since i supercropped her shes been leaning one way above where i cropped her and the opposite way below. pics coming later.

u could always bend them stem straight up and put some more soil around the stem too

why don't you buy some of those self watering globes. i don't have a link but they basically are a long necked vase that you fill with water and as the soil dries it lets air into the vase thus letting water out slowly and only when needed. put 2 in each pot and if theirs still water in them your golden, but if you come home in 10 days and your plants used up your gel in 8 your going to come home to some very sad plants....

i know what u r talking about" its 5" but that wouldnt be a very good thing to use just becuase its only feeling the that 1 spot where the end is not the hole pot and when it waters it wont water the hole pot evenlyand only water the underneith part of the pot

ive seen those as well but ace hardware only had the gel tubes and i heard about them and it was only like $2.50 so i thought what the hell and got one.

i prolly use them and tryout on house hold plants but not these trees.

i like the sound of this tube o' gel gonna investigate
