How ppm works with mixing nutrients

Can someone explain how ppm works with your nutrient ratio? Do I just mix with what the bottle says or am I supposed to be checking ppm then making calculations from there I'm not used to indoor growing and I'd like to understand this part a little better

Your ppm meter really measures electric conductivity (EC), and uses that to estimate ppm. ppm means mg/L so if theres 10mg of N in a 1 liter reservoir, it's 10ppm of N.

You should check to see if your EC is somewhere between 1.0-1.4 using an EC to TDS chart depending on whether your TDS meter is 0.5 or 0.7 conversion.

My feeding chart says I should be at 1100 ppm , I don't think I'm using enough of my nutrients , this is all new to me I always grow outside and don't worry about ph or ppm and I would use different nutrients, I'm confused and don't want to burn them up but at the same time I think they are lacking nutrients

The new starts can be planted in a soilless medium with little to no nutes,as they reach to about 1 foot tall you can feed a solution of soup up to 400ppm/500 scale on your blue lab pen. After the next foot of growth you can increase the dose as far as 800ppm should keep the tips from burning.
Take a 5 gallon bucket add 2 gallons of water and your ratio of nutes, now put your meter in there and take a reading,if the reading is higher than you want, keep adding water until you read the numbers you are looking for.

I use cyco nutrients but I grow in coir. I only use the a&b ( grow ,bloom) with Uptake, and Dr. Repair. I feed 450-600 ppm (strain dependent) but as I said I'm in coir so they get multiple feeds a day.

I was using cyco love em always ran full line at full strength no tip burn ever. I ran into a ppm issue this time around where I couldn't get it where it needed to be I think I just got a bad box of nutes. Last run I used compost mixed with perlite full strength nutes the whole run.(i have an r/o feed chart.)

I'm using jacks hydroponic with some of cyco adds. At half strength. Cyco is a really good line, they got it clocked in real nice. I just ended up bad this go around

I'm using Dynagro nutes and I feel I must add this bit of info just so someone else doesn't make the same mistake I did when I started growing eons ago. It really doesn't matter which nutrients your working with, most cases once a grower mixes their nutes they adjust pH then check the ppms and then use those nutes that week of feeding. Not once did I think to recheck the pH again during the week just to make sure it hadn't jumped. Well low and behold my pH had went from 6.5 to damn near 7.5 and needles to say it caused issues with my ladies. Started as what I thought looked like a calmag issue and I tried correcting with no success. Once I double checked the feed nutrients and seen the pH I then realized what the issue was. Once I adjusted the pH and flushed everything went back to norm. Now I double check my feed sometimes even twice. (:

May seem like a pain but I prefer to mix my nutrients fresh. Anyway I only run a 14 gallon res so I only get 3 days before I have to mix new.
