I just got the hannah Primo microprocessir TDS meter, calibrated it with the HI 70032 calibration soulution and then used it on my brita filterd water in my resivour then ph'd it to 5.5 approx and it gave me a reading of 150ppm. With neutriants i added to the water, Flora Nova Grow & Floralicious plus and the TDS meter read around 770ppm. This is what my plants have been getting fed for the past weeks and they look pretty healthy. Whats the Ideal ppm for vegging plants? and what other neutrients/additives could i get to increase the grow rate of my plants?

did you ph after adding nutes? the way i tell when my ppm is good is by slowly increasing strength until i see the tips of my leaves getting a little brown (nursery burn.) then i back off a hundred ppm or so. you can get lost in all the additives and supplements if you're not careful. it's best to keep things simple. i really like pro-tekt. it's good for the plants and you can use it as your ph up. i use that and some bennies for the medium.
