How my plant almost died
The Following day.... I previously have been watching my plant as it has grown, I've been documenting and snapping pictures. I'm so proud of my self for this accomplishment so far. I have been through many trials and errors before I've made it this far. So as I think to my self about the vegetative stage I wonder whats the difference between 24hr and 18/16 hrs of lighting, so I research it and find out I can save money with 18/6 and that the plant actually puts more time in rooting and growing with the 6 hrs of dark and during the light it is using energy to photosynthesize. So I soon at 10pm GMT -5 eastern time turn off my CFL light and set a timer on my PC to wake me up at 5am. It was nothing new to me I always had awoken at 5am to get ready for high school.
So the next morning... well at 5am when the alarm went off I turned the light back on. I sat there for a few and watched my baby as he/she was growing(sex didn't show yet). I soon discovered that it had nodes and under a leaf there was a brownish bug with wings but it didnt move much as I flicked the leaf of my plant gently, so I soon discovered my plant was somewhat darker and a few leaves were kinda slumping down like they were sad. I took a few minutes of studying the bug and I soon found out it was a White fly sucking the day light out of my baby! I grabbed the pot carefully and quickly as i could and i got two cards and swiped the white fly away and turns out the little fucker didnt fly away he crawled slowly and that's when I said to it "MotherF*cker you wanna be eating my plants and sh*t, do you litttle f*ck?" and I got no response but a crawl so i smashed it with the other card and as it smash guts splattered and wings shattered.
I looked at my baby and said "It will be OK you dont have to worry anymore, now you can get back to resting and growing". I gently placed my baby back into its growing room(closet) and put the fan and light on it. A few hours later around 12am GMT -5 eastern time I checked my baby and I saw nothing but life! The smaller leaves had gotten bigger and other leaves had also started coming in forming nodes where I will see the sex appear in a few weeks! Well this is the story of how my plant almost died, take this as a warning! Little f*uckers find anyway to get to your babies! they must be protected!
