How much would does it take to build a box

Simply how much would does it take to build a box? Is it cheaper to build a grow tent or to buy 1/2?

Zero. My first grow was in a water softener box with aluminum foil on the inside. Light was LED strips hung with mechanics wire.

Yes. PVC inner frame primarily.

I assume you mean wood? Seems like once you figure out what size you need, you could put some math to it to figure it out?

Plywood is expensive. Figure out how big a box you need and figure out how many sheets you need. Simple. Chances are a tent will be better. Or panda film a corner in your basement.

I use old school math, but you can use new math if you like.

Amazon 4 x 4 x 6 grow tents for about $100 with all the holes you'll need. At the end of the day what really counts is your time. If you got hours to go shopping, planning, building on top of the huge appeal of saving 10 or 20 bucks, make your own.

If you price building a box, cost in all the stuff you will need other than wood like screws, paint, sealant, perhaps saw blades and shit. It all adds up. I would go with the tent. they break down for storage or moving. Reflective insides. Ports for ducting and cables. All set to go.

Nope. TBH on that tight a budget I would start saving and be patient. Wait until you can setup something legit instead of wasting your money of something you won't be happy with and will end up replacing. This goes for the whole grow, especially lighting. But thats just me with 30 years of growing under my belt.

What? I don't want to spend $100 on a tent, last tent I got I had to get rid of it

I mean to say -- why aren't most tents dual chamber tents

I guess there are several for around $100, not sure which is best
