How Much Wattage, How Many Bulbs?

I've been growing one (1) plant, but after 4-5 days, it stopped growing. I waited but it still wont grow. I got two (2) more seeds. I'm gonna restart.

Tell me please, How many bulbs do I need?
How many watts do they have to be?

I'm growing in a small cabinet, 2x4 I think.

If you gave it any heat stress you will slow growth drawmatcally for a couple of days. 78f is optimal keep it under 82. and just keep you lights close 1 1/2 to 2 inch for now don't worry about the wattage thing until he gets bigger. also he might be root bound how big of a pot is he in, doesn't normally happen in 4 to 5 days though unless your in like a 1 or 2 inch pot.

Its in a 4'' wide cup, I know its not too small. I've kept a cfl bulb no more than 2" away the whole time. Should it be an 18/6 hour schedule, 24/24, what? Sorry I should know this stuff.

I would do 24/24 for the first couple weeks then switch off, It's always worked better for me that way. Im working on 2 plants with 5 23W CFL's.
