How Much Veg Nutes To Give In Flowering +rep

I am going into week 4 of flowering and I typically give them 12 ml pure blend pro bloom for soil and 2 ml of Hydroplex, however I am noticing a pretty bad nitrogen deficiency on some of my plants so my question is if I use the 12 ml of bloom how much pure blend pro grow should I add to help the deficiency but not stall flowering, so far the deficiency is only on bottom leaves and a fuge larger middle leaves. just enough to keep her green. give a little bit with a feeding and if that dont fix it by the next water or feeding add more.

Thanks, I'm wondering if like 3 ml is okay or too much per gallon of water? I just know if you use too much I here it hinders flowering.

With those numbers, your at about 900 ppm. Pure Blend Pro Grow is about 60 ppm per ml. So I'd add about 2 ml. to start with, then up it by 1-1.5ml. each feeding if needed.

I dont feed any veg nutes at all, no need. FFOF and happy frog have enough nutes in the soil to keep the plants happy for about 4 weeks. In bloom you should not need to give them any nitrogen since bloom nutes normally have a small amount already. It is totally normal to start to have leafs yellow and die toward the end of flowering and does not effect the plant at all. I use the same nutes as you Botanicare Pro Grow and Pro Bloom but with the soil I use I will get nute burn with even the 1ml of veg nutes. Now if the yellowing started a while ago then yeah 1-2mls of veg nutes may help to green the plant back up.

Thanks intenseneal,I am also growing in FFOF soil however they went two months in so its surely depleted now. I went with 12 ml bloom and 2 ml grow hopefully that helps them a lot to green back up as they have 4 weeks exactly to go.

Throw those bloom nutrients in the trash, grow from start to finish.

Fyi, yellowing leaves may be normal in your garden but it's not 'normal'. Your plant should be green and healthy at harvest with little-to-no leaf drop.

The grow nutes lack the proper P and K for flowering. Dont throw them out they are good nutes. I never said my leaves yellow in flower but it is totally normal to have yellowing leaves at the end of flower. This happens because most bloom nutes are low in N and that is normal since nitrogen in too large of amount in flower can give a harsh smoke and the plant is not needing much nitrogen because it is no longer growing and it's energy is put towards producing flowers and not new stem and leaf growth. As I said if you have yellowing early in flower then yes some grow nutes with nitrogen will fix the problem. A healthy plant will produce more and better flowers. If you do the veg correctly and give them enough of what they need in veg then yellowing leaf issues will not happen in flower.

Thats is a good starting point but you should be replacing the grow nute with the bloom nutes ie if you are feeding 12ml of bloom alone then only give them 10ml of bloom and 2ml of grow. Do that for 2 watering and see how the plants react, watch for the leafs greening back up and for nute burn. You can also use the grow nute as a foliage spray and it will act on the plant(s) faster.

I usually give them 12ml bloom and 2 ml hydroplex I subbed the grow for the hydroplex. I totally agree I will not be throwing out my bloom nutes lol all the worlds best growers say not only does too much nitrogen halt flower production but also makes buds harsh and say that yellowing is natural in a plant at the end of its life cycle.

I use a veg formula of 6-3-8 from start to finish with potassium silicate Ca and Mg along with a nice hit of PK1314 at around 4weeks of flowering.

Week6 of flower nice cola shot.

Home brewer love your work bro.

Find what works for you and keep them green. I've never experienced faster flowering or denser nugs. I'm pulling more yield under 400w than I ever did with 600w. I don't buy flowering nutes any more. IMO because the plants remain healthier they perform EXCEEDINGLY well.

You only have to try it once to see for yourself.

Here is my current grow that is nearly finished. No yellow leaves and no grow nutes at all. I only fed them Bloom, Bio Root, CalMg+, Flora Nectar Sugar Cane, Flora Nectar Berry and molasses.

That's a good job for flouro's.

However if it was HID lighting the demand for nutrients is alot higher due to the higher light intensity and better PAR.

With flouro's you should aim to keep plants short. SCROG was pretty much invented for flouro growing.

^^ Yep that is my plan next grow, shorter trained plants to maximize the light coverage and penetration going all Indicas next grow since they are shorter and will be better suited for my setup. Maybe I will try 1 plant with no bloom nutes and instead feed grow nutes just to see how it goes. PAR wise HO T5 rival HID they just dont have the range and penetration, PAR drops off fast after about 10 inches.

Your plants are getting enough N from somewhere right now, perhaps there's still some left if your soil? I used to use the Pure Blend line for about 8 years in promix and bloom under HIDs would eventually turn my plants yellow. I found that combinations of grow + bloom fixed the yellowing and the healthier plants at harvest were of superior quality to that of anything I'd grow previously.

Do what you've gotta do to keep them green and healthy but IMO, boosters and base nutes lopsided to P and K are not what our plants like in dirt/coco/promix. Hydro is a different story.

Do your best to read the plant. Grow and bloom are tools, use them when needed (or together) but the goal should be green plants with lots of healthy leaves. Leaf curl, spotting, yellowing, leaf drop, etc are all signs something isn't going right. It could be the ratio of salts you're feeding or a buildup of salts in the root zone.

There shouldn't be excess nitrogen at the end, there shouldn't be an excess of anything if you've fed correctly. Feeding 'correctly' is not something you learn overnight, it's a trail-and-error thing, do what works best for you. Keep in mind though that N is what green plants need most, the rest of the elements should be balanced accordingly.

So in your opinion niteogen will not hurt flowering or make it take longer? So as long as my foliage is healthy and green I'm giving it a okay amount? I think ill start adding a little in with the bloom nutes each time maybe 1 ml of grow.
