Got a 60x - 100x micro, will put it to use this week! I tried experimenting with it before but the fans are going non-stop and it's tough to use the micro and not upset the plant. Try not to disturb them too much. Any pointers for using the micro?

Yeah, not an option for me, the system is a RDWC, so those plants are locked in their buckets in their closet. I'm looking at the trichs on the leaves around the buds right?

I've already quit on that idea. I'm letting them do their thing. Thanks!
I'm not "experienced" in that I've only put 4 plants through flower (starting on 5 and 6), but once you get some decent bud growth, your stretch phase should be done and room (vertical) should no longer be an issue.

I think the consensus is to look at the trichs on the calyxes, not the surrounding sugar leaves. You will probably see amber on sugar leaves faster than on calyxes, so you might chop too early if you go by leaves. But it really depends on the high you are looking for.

yeah i look at the buds mostly!!
once mine were over half turned amber i chopped it and hung it to dry before bottling to cure
and yeah i guess you wont be moving those anywhere lol should still beable to get a good idea either way you do it really!

Ok, the calyx. That's a new one for me, good thing I asked.

Another question, I have 2 strains. One is Master Kush. The other said Aurora Indica but that shit stretched like a Sativa. If the MK are ready before the Aurora, can I chop the MK and let the Aurora continue? I only have the one grow space though and I would have to hang the MK in the room where the 12/12 is still happening and the system is still running..???

Maybe I need to know more about the chop. You literally chop at the stem and turn over and tie up? Is there any special technique to this? Do you turn lights off, keep lights on? Keep fan on? Well, I have to keep the carbon filter on until I jar them, and even then I'm gonna do all that shit in the tent. Can't have the neighbors (apt building) find out.

Any help would be glorious. Thanks yall.

heres how i dry and curehttps://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/372110-ganjaluvrs-drying-curing-broken-down.html
theres lots of different opinions and ways
i chop it up in seperate branches to hang on a line in a dark room with fans with air circlation to dry for a few days then cut the buds off the stem and bottle them for a couple months burping the jars a couple times a day to let the moisture and gasses to escape the details are in the cure and dry section stickys!!

Sorry about the images being sideways. Nothing I can do to fix it.

So here is an update. The first 3 are the Master Kush. Last one is the best Aurora kola.

I am at the end of Week 5. Tomorrow I will be flushing, refilling with H2O2 water, flushing again, and adding nutrients back in. Using Lucas formula, Cal-Mag, Bud Candy, and swapping out the Big Bud for Overdrive as per AN's instructions. Plan is 2 more weeks of nutes, maybe less if I see major changes in buds, then 1 week of flush with RO water and FloraKleen to pull any unnecessary nutes out of the buds.

Does this seem like a reasonable timeline?
Any suggestions/modifications?
Any comments about the pics to make me feel good about this? :-P

Cut off a small piece of the leaf you want to look at, put it on a white piece of paper and take your time getting a good look

dont mind me im baked haha!!
im gonna post a thread of my girls today gotta get some pics after i spray them with seaweed which is our insecticide aswell!!

SO this is probably a hydro question... It looks like each girl in the tent is on a different schedule.
The Aurora barely has any amber colored stigmas. Maybe only about 4% total.
Master Kush #1 is hard to see, but I would say that there is probably about 8-9% amber stigmas on certain colas and buds, and newer flowers don't have much.
Master Kush #2 has the most, probably about 20% amber stigmas all around, some buds more developed than others.
Master Kush #3 has about 15% amber stigmas, and is the easiest to see. She was the last to be propagated and vegged, but is second in development.

I guess my question is do I stay on schedule with Master Kush #2 and when that one is ready, harvest, or do I take a look at all the plants as a whole and determine when they are ready. Also, do the plants continue to undergo any maturation once they have been chopped, or is that a pure cutoff point?

hey man in my opinion i would say each could be on seperate schedule cause each plant is different in its own way, may be a few days in between each just keep an eye on your trichs..
and when you chop you hang to dry until the stem splits but dont break, then you put the buds in jars burping the jar daily for a month until cured
there are good threads on here about cureing!!

PICTURE UPDATE TIME!!
AUR2.jpg
This is the Aurora - Not much Amber Stigmas.
MK1.jpg
This is master kush 1.
MK22.jpgMK24.jpg
these 2 are the Master Kush 2 - fastest development of stigmas
MK31.jpgMK3.jpg
These are master kush 3

Because I am restricted by the setup and the closet space, I am just going to wait for a happy medium for all the plants. I don't have the space or the freedom to do any hanging and drying outside of the grow tent these plants are currently in. So I am just going to make the best of it, keep checking the trichs and stigmas, and get the best crop I can.

But let's look at the bright side, I could wind up with 4 slightly different stages of development, and hence 4 different varieties of cured bud with different highs. Could be a good thing.
