How much should a stable PPM fluctuate?

I have a way less severe form of what you have in the first pic, burnt tips. I'm in week 6 of flower, and have been mixing about 1250 ppm nute water, only to watch my water drop by half a gallon 24 hrs later and ppm jump to 14-1500. So tonight I decided to do a 24 hr water only flush (hydro guard and cal-mag since using RO water) and going to remix nutes at 900. Just gotta read the plants if she drops in ec then I'm good. But I think you would benefit from a quick 24 hr flush. View attachment 4834624
I moved it down to 750ppm and moved the lights farther away. I’ll see here real soon how they react

Yep. You running led right? I'm running a panthr x II from crecer. I moved mine about 30" up and cranked it to 100%. I do have some bleaching of my tallest buds but nothing major or more severe than that. Ill be going in and swapping out my flush water tonight, will probably shoot for 900 ppm since I'm week 6 flower. I'm also new this is my first grow, I'm following a buddies advice as well as trying to figure it out for myself. Good luck!

so I moved it down to 750ppm, moved the lights up and good God the plants are loving it. The ppm is staying close day to day after drinking water. When I add water now I can add nutes . The plants beefed up over night! Finally I can relax. Good luck to you my friend

I ended up around 1000 ppm. I cut out AN bud candy and big bud, since a lot of people here say it's not really needed, less is more etc. I only did this to 2 buckets, I have 2 more to go. I'll read the two I changed tonight to see if the others can get 1000 or need less

How is everything going bud? I thought my problem was solved but it’s not. I’m getting frustrated

Same here man, been dealing with weird growth/no growth and deficiencies. Trying to get this strain dialed in before flowering and now the one plant is massive and its gonna be a struggle to flower it.

Great. Sitting at 750 ppm and adding 3ml each part A and B nutes to water every other day. Set at 750 they lose about 25-30 ppm and half gallon water per day. My buddy says I'm underfeeding since I'm at week 7. But I'm reading the plants and they aren't deficient. The tip burn showed up on all my plants even at 1000ppm (.5 scale). Went to 800 and finally 750 and I like this zone. Buckets holding pH steady and plants eating/drinking. My buddy says since I'm underfeeding I won't have the bud density he does hes telling me I need to have my buckets at 1200ppm

Ppm doesn't correlate to bud density. If your plants are growing great and no deficiency is showing up leave it. Don't fix it, if it ain't broken

Yeah that's what I'm going for. Quietly though, hard for me to criticize my buddy that has well over 100 grows under his belt while I'm on #1. Even moreso to not believe him but I'm listening to the plants more.

What's worse is I didn't listen to him in terms of lights. He sent me the best hps light combo I could get and I went with LEDs lol. He's not a believer and has been salty ever since

Good for you, listen to the plants.Ph rising throughout the week is a good sign.

Not rising yet, just not crashing. After first 48 hrs of new water/nutes, my buckets will start crashing for the next 48-72 hrs, sometimes 1.5 pH drop to low 4s. After that it's been stabilizing and only dropping .3-.5 per 24 hrs. Still not going up consistently

I run rdwc. Sometimes I’ll just drain out 1/3 of the water and replace with fresh. This keeps the ph from going out of balance. My thoughts are if your feeding low and environment is good. There’s no need to completely drain once a week just top up with fresh.

S*** at first when the pH was crashing I would change every two days cuz I didn't know what was going on did this about three times before I finally said let's just add the pH up and see what happens and lower my EC

Ive never needed ph up,airstones keep pushing it up.I know different nutes do different things.I use just dry no name nutes from my local hydro store.Your nutes when mixed drop your ph that much?

When I mix a fresh batch I add a little pH up and I'm sitting at 5.8. 24 hrs later it'll be at 6.2-6.3. 24 after that it'll be low-mid 5's. 24 hrs later it'll be low-mid 4s. I adjust after each reading and set buckets to 5.8-5.9 using up or down

I know theirs threads around here about this exact thing.AN nutes do this IIRC, something with your water perhaps ?
