How much perlite are you adding to your ProMixBX?

Hey,

I was just wondering how much perlite you guys add to your soiless mixes. I have recently ramped up to 50%+ perlite(chuncky kind) in order to get more oxygen to the roots.

Im scared to go any further because i dont want to loose the buffering power of the the soiless mix, but i want the soil as light and fluffy as i can get it.


So, how much are you guys using. Post your perlite and ammedments as a ratio if you can.

I usually add about 25% to promix ultimate organic. Works a lot better then without that's for sure. I think 50% might be a bit to much in my case as I try to grow organically and like you said don't want to lose the ewc and soil buffer.
