How much OregonismXL should I use?

I'm hoping someone will help me figure this out once and for all...

The guy at my local grow store told me to mix the packet that I bought with 1 gallon of water (that is what the package says to do too), but that's where the similarities end between the directions and what the store owner told me to do...

He told me that you are supposed to mix it with one gallon of water, then mix 1/8th of a cup of that mix in per gallon of water and water with it. The package says to use 1/4 cup of the solution (the packet mixed in a gallon of water) per gallon of container size. I am using 6 gallon containers, so shouldn't I need to use 1.5 cups of the solution in each of my pots (1/4 cup x 6)?

I just wanted to ask you guys because that guy at the grow store told me that the directions say to mix the packet with one gallon of water, then to mix 1/4 cup of that solution into each gallon of water. But he told me taht one of his close grower friends told him that 1/4 cup of it per gallon was too "hot" and to just use 1/8th of a cup. The package directions don't say a word about ever mixing it again with more water after you first mix it with the gallon of water. So I really don't know what he's talking about.

Also, I just transplanted my 6 week old plants into these 6 gallon pots and I am getting ready to start flowering them. Is this a good time to use this stuff? Or I guess I'm asking if it will hurt anything? I know maybe I should have used it sooner but I just got it.

I'm just kind of confused about how much to use since that guy at the grow store told me that. Using the amount he said to use seems extremely weak to me.

Than you in advance for the help. :bigjoint:
