How much longer

so this is my first grow my plants have been flowering about 8-9 weeks trying too fugure out when these will be done they still have alot of white hairs but a few buds on the bottom got a redish tint a couple weeks ago but not much change anymore I am having a hard time telling if my trichs are turning foggy I have a 30x jewlers glass but like I said still having a hard time seeing if there cloudy or clear lol, so just woundering what you guys think are they close to done , done or how many more weeks do they look like they need, these are bag seeds so sorry cant tell you guys the strain Thanks in advanced for any help

From the pics looks like they still have a while, but not knowing the strain it's really hard to tell. Try taking a flashlight and shining it on your plant and then use the loupe, the one that I have has a built in LED and it does wonders for being able to make out colours...using the flashlight (or any type of light) will illuminate the trichs and make it easier to tell the colour, clear will sparkle, cloudy will look a bit dull amber will look, well...amber. Give it a shot it may help.

from those pictures, I do not see any red hairs at all, it looks like it has a lot of growing left to do. Are you sure it has actually been flowering for 8-9 weeks? Is that when you switched the lights to 12/12? The strain you are growing must be very sativa with such a long flowering period. A good way to get an idea of when to roughly harvest is by looking at the hairs on the plant, Once approximately half of the hairs on the plant have turned red or amber, the plants bud will produce a nice stone. So I would not even think about harvest until you start seeing some red hairs on the plant. Some people will let their plant grow to full maturity, letting almost every single hair turn red before harvesting. From the looks of those pictures, I could see them taking at least another month minimum. Hope that helps, Happy toking, keep the good grow.

thanks man Lower buds got alot of red hairs top bud don't and its prob been about 6 weeks that they were out of preflower yeah its got to be sativa one of the other plants is about 5 1/2 feet tall lol it suck those still look like preflowers or baby cotton balls lol

Thanks, there are actually a lot of helpful people on this site, but sometimes they don't see the thread for a bit and it can take awhile to get a reply. Good luck on the grow and I hope we can see some pics in a few weeks when those bitches have fattened up.

The sativa's I have grown usually average around 14 weeks in flower. Your plants look like another 4 to 6 weeks to me. They look really nice by the way.

as stonerman said there still at least a month left (even 6-7 weeks), sativas are long flowers, its looks to be around 3 weeks into flower judging by the size of the buds and the way the hairs are still sticking out, also apart from the hairs turning orange/red the bud will swell up and look sorta lumpy, what light you using? you've probably flicked to 12/12 b4 the plant has been mature so it wouldn't have even started flower until then, so in reality your 8 week flower is around 3-4 weeks.

well its been 2 weeks figure I would give a update tell me what you guys think and how much longer lol? and its under a 1000 hps

Haha thanks man that damn plant is 6 ft tall now coverd in little cotton balls lol slow showing sex slow budding but is growing like a weed lol
