how much longer should I veg?

Its been about 3 weeks now in veg.. just wondering if I should go longer or switch to 12/12? Other question.. If i go longer in veg to make it grow bigger before switching to flower will there be much of a difference in yield? cuz im not too worried about height heres a photo of "her"

must b a seed or u need a better light, its too small to flower u should keep her goin

its from seed..... seeds grow branches symmetrically, where as clones grow asymmetrical branches.

since its from seed, and you topped it i would wait another month to put it into 12/12. you wont get much more than an OZ, if that if you flower it now.

the longer you have her in veg, the more robust your root system will be, and the larger your plant/yield

I probly shoulda waited longer to top it eh? 2nd grow thats actually sumwhat succesfull so far. so im still learning what evers lol. Im not really expecting to get a huge yield outa it anyways if I get a O or 2 ill be happy. im picking up sum clones pretty soon too along with sum more lights. And I also just added a couple of cfls today so that should help. cuz that photo believe it or not all the growth was from 1 13watt cfl for the first 2 weeks then i added another and now today I added 4 23watters and the other 2 13 watts. so well see how much that helps the growth. but I will let it veg for a month or so like you say. thanks.

im growin some clones that are about a month right next to their mother who is about 5 months old... all i can say is this mother is about to put off some major weight so you need to veg longer... trust me it's worth it

Nope! perfect timing. most of the people around here believe you should top a plant @ the 4'th node, it looks like you got it right on the dot.

I also just added a couple of cfls today so that should help.

it will definitely help. the more light the better. your doing very good for your second grow, i can tell by the color of the plant and the shape of the leaves. it has that nice vital green, large blades on the leaves showing no over or under watering, and nice finger progression (3-5-7, hopefully soon 9 fingered leaves). keep ujp what your doing with fertilizer and veg the plant for another 2 weeks at LEAST. you wont regret it.

I veg under 5 x 27w cfls.
Typically in two gallon pots for two months.
Plants are topped during veg two, and sometimes three times.
Average height going to flower under 400w is around 15-18 inches,
with overall plant heights reaching 21-30 inches.
The pics are a typical example of the size and shape of my plants.
One picture is just before entering 12/12 with a height of around 15 inches
The other picture is of the same plant after three weeks of 12/12
She grew 10-11 inches more, aside from the buds forming, she will grow no taller.

I grow cuttings from mother plants, not from seed.
