how much light is too much

is 2000w of hps too much light for 4 or 5 plants to flower? there will be more later but right now just 5 or so actiually 12 but only 4 for sure female and a few im almost positive are males so most of them wil;l be getting removed

im under the assumtion that more light means more buds and denser buds so it seems like you couldnt go wrong with more light but i could be wrong

no such thing as too much..just make sure it doesn't get too hot.

You can give too much. But your plant will only use as much as they need. You can "Supercharge" your garden by adding C02 . this will make your plants use even more light and give you mondo buds

Sunlight is roughly 10,000 lumens per sq ft. So i think its pretty hard to get close to that, and considering sunlight is in almost all spectrum's I don't think you can have too much light .

But, 2000w HPS for a few plants is overkill on your electricity bill!

yeh just make sure the temperature stays right in there and they.ll be fine and should produce monster bud.hope so,good luck.

looks like electricity is about 30 bucks a month per light

there is a theoretical light saturation point but as other have pointed out - chances are good you'd burn your house down before you reach it

With that much light, i'd think your grow would be one of the few that would benefit from CO2 injection (as mattso101 already pointed out).
