i am germinating 12 seeds in soil. i only pan on keeping half after picking out the best seedlings. how many watts do i need to grow these seedlings indoors for the next 2-3 weeks? i have a 26 watt and 20 watts cfl that i am using, but i plan on adding more. how many watts total do you think i will need? i am also going to put the seedlings outdoors on sunny days. thanks
Well are your seeds feminized? If not I’m not liking the idea of only running the 6 best seedlings.. you could end up with no females if you’re that unlucky

Kid? Dude, I'm a 37 year old black male from Minnesota. I have a PhD in Agricultural & Biosystems Engineer since 2011. I am just posting a thread and accidentally posted under someone thread as I am new to this site. Just trying to post my thoughts it's not a issue. I don't need to view your pictures, I'll never teach someone who is defensive. I rather focus on those who want a full canopy by day 30 seedling, not overwatered, save on energy bill by not lighting soil and floor.

Someone argued me down that plant count equates to more yield. He was so far away from reality yet he argued me down just like u until he invited me over to his great garden and what was the first thing I see,
He was in a 5x5 tent with to many minaturized plants in a 3 gallon pot 4x wider than the plant, no branches, all soil, purple stems from mag deficiencies and last grow missed 90% of his yield and he didn't know why. He been listening to all these forum's saying hang your led 12" above the canopy. I put all his plants in the corner and he had 75% unfilled. If 75% is empty no canopy then by definition he had to much light, to big a pot, to many plants and he overwatered. He finally called me after failing 4x in a row he never made it to flower. I'm only here to help those that are so far from reality. I identified all those errors in his garden and his solution to fixing the failures were to manage vpd and pH and a bigger light. One of his problems were to much light yet he wants a brighter light with 1500 PAR and co2 so he can kill his plants faster, he didn't know light equates to yield, he still thought more plants meant more yield. He wouldn't believe 1000 Watts is 2 lbs and 20% more with co2 and a ppfd above 900. He was so far away from reality like 99% of growers are. I told him start over and he said no. Called me 4 days later and said OK your right they are dead. He thought because they not breathing they aren't dead. He killed his roots with to much water because they were in to big a pot, plants never got wider than the bucket, he had no branches he didn't know where buds grew he asked where. He pulled off all his fan leaves and wondered why his plant stop growing. I just want to help growers make better cannabis then the dispensaries, achieve over 2lbs per 1000 watts with less plants, less soil, less training, half the veg time etc.
Tell me, How long have you been growing? How many harvests?

I would like to see the math on that; I need to know how many people can drain a 100W light until it's dark in the room
Wt do mean? See this wt I am.talking about. Yahl are so hung on lights and Watts and Never speak topics on grower talent. Any of you explain toe how lights will ever fix a shitty growers garden?

Nobody with any concrete knowledge and experience ever spouts off like this. Even if you do have an education( you may or may not) it doesn’t necessarily translate to practice. Also you are coming into the mechanics shop to tell them you know how to fix a car better than them, and not showing any proof to back it up. Kanabis Karen

Dude u are a idiot. If u read my whole thread I explicitly said I accidentally posted on someone's thread when I was making a post about the difference between failed growers and good growers not growers on here u dumbass so stfu

So I am an idiot, but you have a PhD and couldn’t figure out how to make your own thread? Either that makes you the idiot, or it means you rush into things without considering the details. Either of those would explain why you are the epitome of the proverbial bull in a china shop here. Maybe calm down and you might get the proper audience you so obviously crave.

If your canopies are as thicc as your posts I'd be impressed

Mr hydro Don or whatever your name is Mr Master grower. Here's a picture. Tell me in definition about this garden in good detail. See the picture. Show me and everyone watching your good grower knowledge.
Is that in your closest? For all the talk about your canopee that's pretty weak my dude :blsmoke:

Folks with PhD's often lack common sense.
