How much is your electric bill????

I was wondering how much everyone spends on there electric bill, and how high you guys push it?

Hasn't exceeded $415 since we went gas with utillites. Before that it was around $600

better yet, what lights do you all use and how much did it increase?

( sry, I just wanted to throw that in there )

on an average how much do you think a 400 watt HPS will make my bill go up running the 12/12 cycle

depends on your companies rates .

i would say on average 10-15$ but usually no more than 20

alright i dont understand this but it is something like 14.3 kilowatts ???sound right??

your power bill will not go up much more running a 400w hps then it would if you were to go out and buy a "nice" fish tank.

Where I live the electricity is very high anyway (about twice the National Average) So I guess you could figure that its was more like $300
None the less, I did cost me about 600 a month before we swited to gas on our stove dryer and Heat. Now its around $400, But like I stated before, our electric cost is very high.

I have a big 6 bedroom house. Would 4 1000watt lights and 2 t5 8bulb florecent. + all the little stuff like fans and stuff.
would that be too much?
im guessing it would cost around 500$ A MONTH

yeah i think that would be alot LOL some one told me that my 400watt would run me around 25 a month so you got to think it would be around 400 to 500 plus for all that you will need hella fans and shit......you doing hydro or soil

If you switched all your lights in your house to CFL's instead of Incadesened light you would save a hundred or so each month. Plus, If you go big, make sure you turn off any light, computer, tv and whatever else might be using electricy to compensate for the extra power. You would be surprised just how much you will save doing this.
FYI, Cell phone chargers use as much electricity being plugged in without a phone charging as they do with one on it.

i dont pay for electricity. but my gas bill was $100 or so last

shit our gas bill is over 300.00 every mnth. Stupid gas heat/stove/water heater.

Last January when the gas prices were really high, Our gas bill hit $842.29 for the month. We have since bought a more efficient home in April it doesn't get over $300.00 any more. And thats with All the utillities on gas now.

yea tell me about it.. ours was around 500.00 when gas was like 4.00 a gallon .. I dont see how alot of ppl made it through.. especially elderly ppl on fixxed income.. Im on disability and it was/is hard..Fucking rich ass oil barons getting richer and ppl here suffering. ARGH!!

ya, no shit. There claiming record profits and we're claiming Bankruptcy. It wasn't right. And now, they're going up again. I just think it's a matter of time before it becomes unafordable to some people.
I was never a big fan of Alternative energy, but now I'm all for it. Who know's what the next four years will bring.
We should give our new president a chance to show what he can or can't do.
