Grr.... yesterday upon close inspection I noticed a lower bud on a plant developing seeds (!!). I had what I thought was all 100% female. After REALLY pushing away buds (up until this point I never even touched them) I found two seed pods on two of my bad seed plants. There were a total of four seed pods on two plants, all on lower branches. I didn't notice them on previous inspections because they were really hidden well, and facing the wall.
Im really pissed off at myself, I knew I should have killed the bagseed plants even if they were flowering. I started them because this was my first grow and my genetics hadn't arrived yet. I knew they would cause problems.
I inspected the other plants carefully and found no evidence of seed development. Only one half of one bud on each plant is developing seeds. I think the seed pod was so well buried that the pollen may have not spread far.
I am really worried about my cali orange bud that is growing extremely well. Again, last night I found no evidence of seed development. The seeds I found on the plants with the male parts were extremely well developed, so I think this happened a while ago.
What are the odds that my entire grow is now seeded? Again, the pods were facing a wall, very well covered, and only four total in the entire closet. I have several plants that are in the first week of flowering and hardly have but a few pistils, any chance they could have been affected too?
Damn bag seed.
