So a question to all of you who have been to amsterdam in the past. Approximately how much is an oz of weed in amsterdam??? I know there are rehulations on how much you can buy so if you diddnt come across anyone selling by the oz please elaborate on other specifics.. 5 grams = ???. and so on. Myself and my little brother are heading over the end of january and i'd love to bring back a few ounces or so.. or anything really... So if you can help me out + rep. thanks!!!

I've been there a couple of times and always pay about $10/gram for decent shit. Some really nice strains can even pull $20/gram. Every shop sells by the gram and you're allowed 5 grams a day.

Now, there is a whole illegal marijuana system as well. So, if you want more than the 5 gram legal limit or want better prices for bulk, you can find dealers in the red light district downtown. Personally, I wouldn't fuck with these people - they're dangerous. We got chased (and almost robbed) by a 300lb man from Bulgaria while there and I'll never go back to that area of Amsterdam again. I stay in the legal shops, buy my 5 grams per day (which costs around $80 buying nicer strains) and compile that shit up. If I smoke only 3 grams per day, I can get 10 grams to take with me after 5 days.

Now, weed is cheap in Amsterdam, but everything else is expensive as fuck - especially hotels and hostels. Expect to pay out the ass for food and lodging. You will spend up to $100 day on bud, but upwards of $200-$300 dollars a day on lodging and food. Seriously, it's expensive. They're also shutting down a lot of the coffee and sex shops, so even weed is becoming more expensive. However, it all depends on how you buy it. You can pay $5 a gram for shit or $20 a gram for some fire!

Hope that helps - if you have more questions, ask and I will answer. An ounce might be difficult to bring back, but if you're savvy and have good people skills, you might be able to pull it off...

well im in europe so exchange rates dont concern me. Compared to the weed where im from the dam sounds fairly cheap. Also I've located a hostel for 3 nights, only 140 euro for a private 2 bed room. All in all flights plus accomodation will total to 280 - 290 euro. Then theres just spending money to consider. Fairly cheap all in all, I've got a few ideas on how to bring back an oz or two, Ive got friends who often bring back large quantities or harder drugs from holland, mainly mdma. But well see when i get there. Might chicken out in the end. Thanks for all the info lads.

I don't what you're referring to, but if you mean procuring weed illegally, then I agree with you. The red light district is shady. Organized crime has taken over in that area, which is why Amsterdam is enacting laws to close almost half of the cafes and sex shops. They are really cracking down!

When I've been there, I feel safe in the cafes and at night, in populated areas. I don't scare easily and have traveled all over the world (to some dangerous places as well), but the red light district is dangerous if you're not careful. During the day, I would even be cautious. However, and as I've stated, by buddies and I go there every year, and we're always okay. We stay in groups and don't cause trouble.

Actually, I was referring to trafficking. Big charges. Stab wounds heal, but you don't want em in your butt, dig?
