in the big city, all they care about is getting paid. out in DogPatch.....who knows. also if you are near industry it doesn't stand out so much, with all those big users around. the best place to hide a tree is in the forest

rule of thumb is no more than 1kw per room or bedroom (can't remeber which) but you should be fine with what your planning look to getting energy savings in the rest of your electric consumption if your worried

I think what you mean to say is no more than 1000 kWh's per bedroom the house has per month. I have also heard this rule of thumb.

I know with pg &e, the power company in Califoria, all they care about is your money. So dont come late on that bill and you should be fine.

Your bigger concern with that proposed setup is odour control by a long shot.. To curb your curiousity though, just pick a similar house or two, and peek at their meter a few times to see what their usage is..

With a 4kw budding system you'll use 48kwh's daily. Multiply this by $kwh and you'll know the approximate daily cost.

Oddly enough it doesn't work like that.. Ballast loss, fans etc will take you up by 25% or so..

Yep...add in all that stuff too. Bottom line is I've never put out over $300 for a lb. everything included.
