How much do co-ops usually pay for their marijuana?

Yeah. It's really shitty, because it does keep prices high, but there ignorance is understandable. Just like if I were to go into a store and buy a bottle of "good" wine, I'd probably buy a bottle largely based on price range alone. While I like wine on rare occasion, I have no real interest in learning the difference between good and bad wine. Same goes for bud for a lot of people. They might like smoking weed on occasion, but just not enough to really take the time to learn the difference between good and bad. It's shitty because of the effect it has, but no one's fault really. Just the way it is.

x2 i was just having this conversation last night with a buddy and he swears on the $20g always being top notch.

I know we are not supposed to post links but, this site here www.weedmaps.com has something like a price index that updates all the time, it allows you to see what strains are available and their average sale price. I use weedmaps a lot to find good deals. I got 4g of top shelf for 40 dollars the other day. Sometimes you get to spin a wheel for free stuff too.

I've been growing MM for a co-op here in califonia for 2 years, hydroponics mostly but am well versed in both. Recently, I decided to quit said co-op primarily over disagreement over the way it was managed.

That’s why, after quitting the co-op I found myself with 2 years of tremendously valuable experience that I still haven't been able to put back to use. With legalization in the November ballot, its only a matter of time when there are more people who want to start a MM grow of their own that actually have the knowledge and time to do so, and they will be looking for people with the skills, knowledge and availability to help them out.
