How much bud do you get from a good average plant?

In an experiment, I have actually produced two ounces off a plant vegged for four weeks from seed, in dwc, using only a video of the sun played on repeat for twenty (then 12 for flowering) hours straight. The television was a 42"led positioned 6inches from the plant. I'm not sure how well it would work with a plasma or lcd screen or a smaller screen.

take it this way... theres a guy who used to grow 16 plants, and got 1/4 per plant, but now grows 2 plants and gets 4 oz per plant. the light used is 600w hps. What i'm saying here is light and number of plants under that light determines what your overall yield per plant.
our goal as indoor growers is to evenly use the grow lights footprint and not waste lumens.
the most effective method so far has been vertical growing

Shesh.... what a waste of electrical power....
I have found, if you use "Ultra" white paper with the picture of the sun, standard sheet of paper, stapled to the walls with the bright sun's picture on it saves a ton of Lumans wattage and amps.... next month, I have just purchased a "3D Printer" and plan on doing a .000314 % scale sun hanging from fibre carbon strings...
I've heard... THAT'S the only way to light...
To get big yields....
Personally it's working, I run 3-5 clones per week... .5-5 oz per plant.... 50 weeks per year...week in and week out.... so about a gizzilion bowls full....
I good at math

well i averagly get 4 lbs from 2 plants grown under a 60w incandesant bulb, my grow room is surrounded in unwashed socks for reflectivity.
You can double this yield if you will start defoliating as soon as you see the first set of true leaves. Also 3 20 watt incandescent bulbs will provide more coverage than one 60 watt dumbass, don't you know any better?

PS Thanks for the tip on the socks, I was using my old tinfoil hats!!

Why do you wait all the way until you get a true set of leaves?
As soon as the seed sprouts it's tap root in my floating paper towel seed poopergating machine...yank it that's defoliating at it's earliest and finest....
Then mix a tiny bit of seaman, hot sauce with my lemon tea wow... unbelievable....pull seed growth off at this point and rub it on your lips, if it doesn't burn, you are good to go...

When i switched to this set up i only vegged for 9 minutes... had a shit ton of diff socks for spectrum...and had easybakeoven light and scrogged my plant with spider webs.. Flowered 11 minutes on- 20 hours off for 27 days....got 7 lbs... that was my first run. Im getting another easybake!

The post was started March 24/2009, so I think we could say it has run its course and has provide little to no value.
Dr. Jekyll

The original post was a stupid as they get....how could anyone provide a serious answer to such a vague question with such a lack of relevant information. BTW your post sure added value to the thread, a bit like the pot calling the kettle black.

I started out getting an ounce off of two plants, then got a ounce each, then two ounces per plant, then three....jumped to five ounces per plant, and just harvested a 7.75 ounce plant (linked in signature "Mataro Blue").

The longer you grow, the more weight you'll yield if you make the right tweaks along the way. Don't expect to get 4 ounces a plant right off the get-go....Learn from your mistakes, and if you want to save time, find someone on here that has had consistent nice grows and ask them to help you out. It's much easier to listen to one knowledgeable voice than hundreds of voices singing different songs. Learning from my mentor and actually listening to what Uncle Ben suggest saved me about a year's worth of screw-ups.

If you make it all the way to harvest, without popping a forehead vein  I'd say 2 -3oz would be a good target . Of course if you can grow a really large plant that has vegged for 2-3 months with 600 watts or more of HID shining down, and some experience, you may be able to pull in over an lb.

I want to know where to find those small sailors, Sand4x105 mentions. You know those, "little seaman"? And dirty fukin' socks too :p What a hilarious thread. Yes we loves our sarcasm :hump: I guess we don't see any reason why we can't have a bit of fun while answering a hypothetical question, that's been asked maybe 1000 times before? We're not laughing at you or making fun. Just trying to stay awake :eyesmoke:

Good luck with your grow

4 lbs with a 60 watt fucking ell.

Yeah that guy is definitely blowing smoke... There is no way you can get 4lbs from 2 plants under a 60w incandescent bulb. If you were to do a 3'x3' room with 2 plants under 150HPS lamp you should average 1 - 2ozs per plant... Key word should! if your elements are off at all (i.e. Nutes/Heat/Light/Etc.) you could get less....
Lol.....he was joking man.
