i was wonderig how many 65 watt 3900 lumen 6500k 4 U shaped tube cfls id need for 3 plants about 10 weeks into veg

Stick to the lumens per foot and go from there. From the little I've read 5k lumens per foot is good. But that's during flowering. In veg I've vegged a good 1ft plant with one 42w cfl with a reflector. It's the flowering that's important as far as lumen goes.

literally, as many bulbs as you can fit into the space without overheating. CFL's have a low heat output, but the combined energy can get a bit warm, though nothing a small fan cant take care of. Just make sure to monitor temps and humidity and adjust accordingly

Try getting as many as you can the more you can fit the better buds you will get in return.
I've always went with the saying 100watt per plant and 50watts for each additional plant added, I try to always shoot for 100watts per plant but that can't always happen things like space,budget are all a factor..
