i would say use 2 600,s instead of just 1 1000.but i would say a 1000w will cover an area of say 9feet by 9 feet so about 20 to 25 plants

you said 1000w is good for a 9' by 9' grow

putting plants at 1 per square foot
9footx9foot =81 square foot

sea of green you can put 4 plants per square foot
so 4x 81 =324

i myself don't know what are you can use a 1000w for but i am going off your area dimensions

1k is good for 6x6
a 9x9 room is not going get enough light for abundant flowering
i have 5 x 9 room with 2 1000 watt lights i house 21-26 ladies not too crampted

my original answer was if her were to do sea of green he could do between 30-40 plants comfortably under that light.

Someone told me that a 1000w would do a 9x9 room
so i just worked on that.

Some thoughts

a new grower can have 16 plants under 1000 watts (4x4) - (5X5)

grow in soil and make sure you have an exhaust fan to take the heat away from your lights.. keep the light close.. 12-18 inches from your plants.. this will require proper heat management..

you should use 1-3 gallon containers..

make sure you learn about pH ing your water...
and you will be fine...

yes 2 - 600s is better, especially if you can manage the heat very well and get the lights close to your plants....

cheers
