how many plants?

1 or 2 i should think but ive just bought a 125 watt flowering light and im going to put 8 plants under it.......

How many plants should you put under 1 x 125 watt CFL ?

I'd use smaller cfl's so you can spread light more evenly, that would work out a lot better. If you was to keep the 125w bulb then i say it would do the top half of one plant.

Don't expect too much good bud.

oh right thats more like it see i planned on putting around 8 clones under .
i have a growing set up and a flowering set up ready for 8 in each i hope it will work.

ive got 1 flourescent light kicking out 9000k also 2 kitchen cfl.s kicking out 3000k each also another 4 cfls each kicking out 1.500k and going with that is a 125 watt flowering red spectrum light....plenty enough for 8 plants....they have been in flowering stage now for over month and a half...

im not sure if u can mix white lights with a red flowering light but im sure someone will tell me and if thats the case i best buy another flowering light lol

you want 6500k for veg 2700k for you can mix them up. But stick with as much as you can in the stage your in.

yeah deffo m8 thanks i am really trying to get the best out of my cfls now i bought em but i want 8 plants and im not sure about any other lights cos i got a feeling them pesky pork choppers in the sky will have a feild day as i live very close to em lol.
its why i went for cfls to reduce heat and run a more efficient job like.

i suppose if ur in a attic growing them and havent got the heat proofing then u might be a bit unlucky and get a knock on the door but as far as cfls go theres no way in this world they can detect that sort of heat...concidering its way less than a hps or mh would give out if u havent got a fan runnin with it..............

well its just that 1 of my cousins was caught by thermal cam.
it was after that i gotten spooked but i love toking so damn much

what was ur cousin running tho?factory full of plants with 10 hps,s?or just with cfl.s?i thought thermal cams were only used for fires to find out where the heart of the fire is or where it started from or in building collapses to find out if anyones trapped.

they must of had a reason to search that area cos ive never heard anyone been caught unless there using hps or mh....

Dude, check my plant below. It was grown with 180w of clf power and 2 flourescent tubes, so about 220w in total and it was total shit, weak buds, taken forever to look like buds, and never filled out.
I done all the research on growing with clf's, they were 1 1/2 inch away at all times too and it was just not worth the effort i think.

So the point is, you're using about the same amount of watts on 8 plants as i was using on one plant, which is totally underpowered, and as i said, was total shit.

You really need to cut back on the plants or increase the amout of light/lumens 10 fold.

I recon you could yeild just as much bud if you just grew 2 plants instead of 8 using that power.

Anyway, have a read and check cfl grows on here.

peace

You will need a lot more light than you currently have for 8 plants, At least 600w in CFL'S, Have you thought about going for a air-cooled HPS?
