I have 6 plants out back in a 6x6. Area with tomatoes and im using grass as cover and tying them down. Ones vegged for a couple months and others are a couple weeks my question... i have 6 more and if i tie them all down is there anyway to hide them?
Idk how big to epexct bc i do indoor and this is my 1st full outdoor grow...
And how bads the smell going to be,
I have about 30_35 foot between it and nieghbor house....
Pretty much i plant to keep tying them down until they flower then from there let them grow on there own.

Planted them in between pepper and tomato plants make them less noticeable. Scatter them, mixed in. Dont clump them all together.

Not trying to be snarky- it depends on how much space/light you get as to how many to grow. Your 35 ft boundry is pretty close to your neighbors; of course, if their patio is on the other side of the yard no big deal. The number of plants also depends on your jurisdiction: some places the cops will not bother unless you have 10+ plants, other places 2-3 plants might get you six months in the lockup. Spacing is also an issue. You might do better with four plants spaced apart in a 6 x6 plot than with 6+ crammed into a small area.

Personally I keep my grows between 3-6 plants- enough for me and "Christmas Presents" for a few friends. Anymore than 6 plants and I feel you might have a hard time explaining to the authorities your grow is only for personal consumption. If you think the neighbor might be cool and not rat you out (or take your stash) and you are very discreet go for the 12 you have and maybe cut back any sickly plants.

I tend to be cautious with my grow- let's see what more experienced/successful planters can share.

Well, to give you an idea for space, I'll show you what I have growing right now. This greenhouse is 6x8 and 6.5 feet tall. I have five females in there and I'm very quickly running out of room. You can sort of see how close they're getting to the top of the greenhouse. These girls are almost two months old from seed, and they haven't started flowering yet. I'm getting kinda concerned about how much bigger they're going to get, since there is really not much room left for them in there. I haven't done any training or tying down, but I do think six plants in a 6x6 area might be a bit cramped.

Keep in mind though that I'm a noob and this is my first grow, so I'm far from knowledgeable on the subject.

As for smell, I can only go off my own experience with these plants. I was sitting on my deck last night having a beer, roughly 25 feet away from the greenhouse, and I was getting a very strong smell of weed. And the greenhouse door was closed. So I hope you have some cool neighbors, because smell could become an issue, especially when they start flowering.

Good luck with your grow!

I'm a no0b, want a stealthy plant (at the costs of less yield) ?

Seed them in small glasses, don't move them out of the glasses until you see a lot of roots (1 month from seeding ?), they'll almost stop growing at this point.

FIM them (you'll get a short bushier thing and with more yield).

That's all I can think of :)

When in veg, outdoor plants that get plenty of sun & have plenty of root space will usually double in size every 30 days or so. There's at least another 6 weeks of veg before flowering starts, so look at your plants now & do the math......oh and they should double in size again once flowering starts......
Good luck
P.S. I can smell my outdoor plants for 1/2 a block.....:o

I've got 10 acres to work with but won't use half of that Huge field that goes with the property so I probably will be doing some stealth planting. Live in country so not crowded with neighbors or people thanks for the info S'Manta. What is imvho?:leaf:

Where I live 1 plant is too many for a backyard. It's a shame too because we have such a long growing season here.
