I guess based on your logic, myself, my friends, my former dealers, and practically the entire state of California, are idiots, because for the past 15 years we have been buying "dubs" of weed that weigh one gram and cost $20. I guess what we have all learned here from your incredibly helpful and informative post, is that unless you live under an apple tree, you are getting ripped off. Seems like we should all pay a visit to our dealers and demand the other half of the dubs we've been paying for.........wow, I'm really glad you opened our eyes to this, thank you!

yeah, normally, the name implies how much it cost, dub = $20, dime = $10, and a nickle =$5. Well, normally here in Cali.

Dubs here in Canada are short for Double A. As in mid grade, not super dank weed, which would be considered AAA.

Based on that reasoning Canadian weed must suck the big one, eh Echlechtica haha.

the same in texas, you start using that slang for amount you want to spend and their assuming its the imported brick weed.

BRICK WEED: weed that has been commercially grown, and compressed into standard 'kilo bricks' for transport across the border. comes in bulk and is hella cheap.

around here homegrown/dro is bought by the gram. not the amount. we dont have a regulated system here in texas seeing as its still illegal, so our high quality buds are marketed at different prices. examples : some random "lemon' dro, $20/g...some name brand 'diesel',$25-30g.

THUS, it ould be ineffectiate for some one to want a dub of dro when dro around here hardly costs 20$ everytime.

BUT, a dub of brick weed is always 8grams. so ya. a gram is a gram and a dub is 8grams of low grade where im from. call me wrong or whatever, jsut dont be expecting a gram of dro when you order a dub in Tx.

Does the UK have apple trees though? Cause if they did a gram would be 1.5 - 2 grams......

Does anyone remember when the word dub first started to be used? It was a term for rims that were 20 inches...."rollin on dubs"....20", $20....one gram of weed averages around $20....now we have already established that I am an idiot but if I wasn't such an idiot I SWEAR that would make sense.....
